APPRENTICES
AND TRAINING
To meet the skilled manpower needs of its electrical contractor
members, the Southwest Washington Chapter of NECA and
IBEW Local 76,
jointly sponsor and administer a comprehensive apprenticeship and
training program for future electrical workers. Chapter
representatives contribute many hours each month in recruiting,
selecting, training and supervising apprentices for the Southwest
Washington Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee. Our J.A.T.C.
trains apprentices who rank among the most qualified electrical
craftsmen available anywhere. Our J.A.T.C. also sponsors advanced
education for journeymen electricians who wish to increase their
knowledge in specialized areas. The exceptional education received
by our J.A.T.C. trained electricians enables NECA members to
produce the highest quality of work for our customers - at
the lowest possible cost NECA JATC representatives are:

IBEW/NECA LMCC
NECA representatives meet
monthly with their I.B.E.W. counterparts on our joint Labor
Management
Cooperation Committee, and on the other occasions, to develop
improved understanding and cooperation between electrical
contractors and their employees. NECA LMCC representatives

NECA's
Board of Directors and the IBEW's Executive Board meet
quarterly for "Good of the Industry" dinner meetings to discuss
industry concerns and strengthen communications between parties.
